But I'm either day 10 or 11. According to my calender I'm day 11! Oh well..

Yesterday the FH and I started on Phase 2! OMG. OMG! OMG! It's a freaken killer. Reminiscent of the Plyometrics workout of P90X. Man, I never sweated so much in my life!

Second day of it today and boy, I was sweating! A little sore from yesterday's workout. My shoulder muscles were killing me (also reminds me of Slim in 6). I maybe need to get some lighter weights like 2lbs or something (I've been using 5lbs) because I can't really get through an entire set without my arms feeling like they're going to fall off! Maybe it's working? HAHA No Pain no gain right?

Abs were being worked out but I didn't feel like they were being pushed to their limits. I liked the ab workouts in Phase 1.. but this one not so much. A lot of Plank moves (makes me want to do Yoga X again! I miss it!) and stuff...

We'll not too sure if today's workout will be for nothing. Today PacMan fights and its basically a Philippine holiday full of junkfood and beer. Maybe I won't do so much today. And weigh in is tomorrow!! uH-oh...

Okay till next time!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-42167102407522364242010-03-10T23:46:00.000-08:002010-03-10T23:54:13.748-08:00Day 7/30DSOnly day 7. yep.

It's alright because I feel it working. Dangit Jillan Michaels, you are my new Tony Horton.

We missed a few days because of Illness and lack of time. But 30DS is working. I see a noticeable difference in my body and I'm fitting into an old favorite pair of jeans better.

I'm excited to move on to Stage 2. It looks killer and I'm so up for the challenge.

Oh and I agreed to stop weighing myself multiple times a day. It is quite discouraging. So I'll only do so every Sunday. But I weighed myself today (haha) and I'm maintaining so its safe to say I've lost 2 lbs since last Sunday. :)

Happiness.

Diet wise, been craving a hamburger lately. But I've been sneaking in Girl Scout Mint Cookies :X Its only been two days of not being so strict so I hope to straighten out tomorrow. (I better eat the rest of those cookies then... jk)

A good thing though is that I've been crazy craving those Yellow Apples. They are so yummy I think I eat like three a day and have to make tri-weekly trips to Henry's just to fill up.

So 30DS + Good Eating = HappinessUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-58440914434388654692010-03-03T22:13:00.000-08:002010-03-03T22:21:28.514-08:00Day 1 of 30 Day Shred (Again!)Third times a charm!

So yeah... we messed up and ate at a wonderful Casino buffet the day after we started 30DS AND THEN had a busy day of running around doing Wedding Errands. Excuses, excuses. yeah It'll be my fault when I can't fit into my Wedding Dress. I know, I am accountable. Just me.. even if I blame FH for everything, I know it'll be me. So many apologizes to myself a million times over...

So 30DS for the 3rd time was tough. I guess I was compensating for the times I missed and hecka pushed myself to do everything with more force and more reps. But we sweated it out and it was great.

I should also dictate my diet as well today...

Breakfast: 3 mini stack of whole wheat and pecan pancakes, 2 slices of turkey bacon, and an egg overhard and some hot tea (yeah, I know I suck!)

Lunch: a Quick Salad wrap with a Slice of Turkey Breast, Romaine Lettuce, Onions, Pepper Jack Cheese (1/2 slice) on a whole wheat wrap.

Snack: Apple

Dinner: 1/4 Chicken Breast, 1/3 steak, 1 cup wasabi Green beans and steamed veggies and hot tea.

:( Again.. I am accountable!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-39936167701195793252010-02-28T12:40:00.001-08:002010-02-28T12:44:05.072-08:00Here's my RANT!I am so frustrated with diet and exercising.

It makes me want to make myself throw up. Literally...

In the beginning of the year, my fiance and I agreed we would start watching what we eat and eat as healthy as possible.

Okay... two weeks after that start date... guess who can fit back into their size 34 jeans again? FH! Frustrating...

We eat the same stuff...

I exercise way more than he does...

and who the fuck drops the most weight????????????
and who the fuck is at the same freaken weight they were at the beginning of the year????????

FRUSTRATED SO FRUSTRATED SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We hit the 9 month mark and its on and poppin!

I'm double timing my workouts AND I going to be strict as fuck when it comes to diet.....!!!!!!!!!

I will be a slim bride NO effing doubt!!!!!!!!!!!!

(sorry.. the hood comes out when I get mad)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-36987958295739067352010-02-28T12:06:00.000-08:002010-03-01T12:20:42.692-08:00Day 1 of 30 Day Shred

Yep, you heard right. All that bitching led me to believe Jillian Michaels will be my saviour. I did do this program before but I was getting bored of it. I was switching it up with "Slim in 6" because I was getting bored of that too. I stopped the two and then concentrated on diet alone.. Well, you and I know thats only going to get you so far.. So back on the treadmill I went and I'm still going.. started last week on that beeotch.

Then.. the FH becomes inspired by some chick who responded on one of his blog posts. He goes to me, "We should do the 30 Day Shred" Uh, I've been telling you this for the past month already. So long story short, we did it together.

Working out with a partner pushes you to your limit. You want to keep up because he's keeping up. You want to keep going when your partner is grunting because he's tired as hell. You just want to keep going.

So with that said, first day of the 30 day Shred (again). It was good. The transitions to floor exercise gets me a little light headed (p90x at least took it slow and reminded you not to get up so fast). But I felt the burn, I sweated it out.

Jillian (first name bases here) mixes this workout with cardio, strength straining, squats, and abs and everything else. You do a little bit of weights, then return to cardio, then do some squats, then do cardio and then end with abs all in a 20 minute period (minus the stretching). She tells you to keep going... She tells you, "when someone tells you just take the stairs - it is a false message of lethargy."

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-17695393514070280682010-01-16T23:16:00.000-08:002010-01-16T23:25:42.558-08:00NEW POST! NEW POST!Tomorrow is the date! JANUARY 17TH, 2010!

The future hubby and I will be starting our new diet and exercise regime in countdown to our wedding date! NOVEMBER 27TH, 2010!

Our diet will be consisting of increase intake of veggies and fruits, no pork, high fiber, decreased carbs, and increase water intake. Also no added sugar and we'll be cutting out the soda...

Exercise will be a combination of things. We will be incorporating elements of P90X as well as more outdoor activity like biking, hiking, etc.

Ahh, I hope to reach my goal of a weight loss of 20lbs, I hope!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-29591478265868196902009-07-21T11:34:00.000-07:002009-07-21T11:38:48.817-07:00Whoa MIAIt's been awhile for a lot of things...

Haven't pressed play on P90X in about a month. I guess I was getting discouraged because I didn't really lose much weight. However, when I stopped, I lost 10lbs. Maybe the stress of work? Could be.

Since it's summer, hopefully I'll be more active.

Well, today we saw our second venue. This one, much in demand (two year waiting list!), could be ours! But our dream date of August 21, 2010 might be pushed back to November 6, 2010. We'll see. Were debating because we have to decide where to have our ceremony since we can't have it there. We have to decide quickly. Maybe over night!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-11965413992347356142009-06-12T14:30:00.000-07:002009-06-12T15:02:54.992-07:00Day 33 of P90X
P90X Lean: Phase 2, Week 5: KENPO X

I LOVE KENPO X! I feel I get the most sweatiest when I do Kenpo X. The more I sweat, the more calories I burn. And the more calories I burn, the more closer I get to my weight goal!

I know I haven't been really on the ball this past week and last with P90X. I guess my previous illness messed me up as well as the stress from my new job. So I'll do what I can do and hopefully I can catch up and get back on track.

Oh, I lost 5lbs in the last week! :)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-38522612572010876992009-06-11T14:35:00.000-07:002009-06-12T15:02:30.276-07:00Day 32 of P90XToday was a no-go with P90X. I had a massive migraine and it wouldn't go away. Then I had to head to work. PM shift hours are terrible. I'll catch up on the weekend.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-90819758066604241402009-06-10T14:49:00.000-07:002009-06-12T14:55:26.495-07:00Our Dream Venue...So it turns out that our dream venue, the Island Club, is not taking events for 2010. They're going through renovations for the entire year. :( I was so devastated when I heard that. The FH and I have been talking about that place since we've been engaged. So now we are on the hunt for another venue that :

Is on the beach

Is on the Navy Base or affiliated with (they have the best deals for catering and reception)

Can have both the Ceremony and reception close to each other.

There is another venue on the same strip of beach that we can have the ceremony at. We're considering that.

I guess we'll keep looking :(Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-15910109845537391312009-06-10T00:30:00.000-07:002009-06-12T15:02:06.402-07:00Day 31 of P90X
P90X Lean: Phase 2, Week 5: CARDIO X

Oops. Seriously.

I have never ever worked my chest, shoulders & triceps so hard in my life. I've never done so many push-ups either. I've never even done 3 consecutive push-ups (not the knee kind) in my life. WOWWIE. What a work out.

So I guess this is part of the "Muscle Confusion" that P90X is known for. I've never done this session before, so I was quite surprised. But, I forced myself to try each and every set even if it made me topple over. The slow push-ups killed it. But it was awesome! The set of reps when you "pour" the weight? Killer. I can't wait to try this again next week.

AB Ripper X is beginning to be my friend. I think I can do every single move but not at the same pace as Tony does. So I just pause or rewind to catch up. I find this helps a lot because they tend to Bring It and I'm just not there yet.

My diet continues to be terrible. That's what happens when you have a future husband who love to cook for you. :) I love what he makes that's why it's so bad. lol. And for the past month, we've been saving and saving and trying to get back up financially. Well, we have all our finances in order AND we will be making the deposit on our dream venue in the NEXT COUPLE WEEKS! That means SETTING THE DATE!

So time to bring it with the P90X!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-66014267954267813272009-06-04T10:02:00.000-07:002009-06-06T10:09:34.295-07:00Day 25 of P90XThis might be a bit of TMI for some of you but I really, really cannot tolerated Milk. I was reminded again today when I was eating a bit of chocolate and I chased it with a small bottle of Low Fat Milk. It probably wasn't even Low Fat because I have never experienced the after effects like this before. My stomach begun to cramp like it never did before. As if it was turning over and over. I seriously wanted to go into the Hospital or something because it was unbearable. :( Thank God I was off of work and I could rest it off. So I just took some tylenol and some antacids and tried to sleep it off. I loved it!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-90460097996092633872009-06-02T12:40:00.001-07:002009-06-02T12:46:06.881-07:00Day 23 of P90X
P90X Lean: Recovery Week, Week 4: CORE SYNERGISTICS

I hate my new schedule. Working Swing Shift messes up my whole routine. I use to work out in the early evening to help me wind down, but now, I have to do it in the morning. Today I woke up a little later than usual and I ended up just finishing my workout. I usually like to rest before I go to work too... but no time. I guess thats the sacrifice I must make!

Core Synergistics... I feel like I haven't been doing this one as much. I guess this is only the, 4th time? Probably why. But it went well. I'm working on perfecting each movement, especially my push-ups. I struggle with those. But I did pretty well with the Push-up Reach High and Low ones. I think thats my favorite of this workout. I haven't even attempted to do the advance session. Maybe next time?

Okay well, time to get ready for work. grr.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-23843028793891046972009-06-01T12:35:00.000-07:002009-06-02T12:40:36.579-07:00Day 22 of P90X
P90x Lean: Recovery Week, Week 4: YOGA X

So much for a resting week. Yoga X today kicked my butt. I seriously am losing my motiviation. I think it's the anxiety of this new job. But at least I am still pressing play, right?

Well, I feel like I'm doing really well with Yoga X. I don't do the extreme, advanced poses, but I do every single one! I tumble a bit, but I get back up and do it! I really, really like the Yoga Belly 7 they do at the end. Although it's super long, I feel it really relaxes and stretches out my sore body and still gives me an awesome workout.

As far as diets go, I've been trying to cut the calories. I've been portion controlling and eating mostly salads when I go out. So hopefully this will help with the results I'm dying to see.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-77289360218503382862009-05-30T21:39:00.000-07:002009-05-30T21:51:07.567-07:00Day 21 of P90X
P90X Lean: Last Day of Phase 1 and Week 3: KENPO X

Work was so difficult today. It sucks being the newbie in a whole different environment. It's like the first day of school again.

I came home and had a little QT with the FH. Worked out at my usual time. For some reason I didn't want to do Kenpo X so I started to do Cardio X... but my arms were killing me from yesterday's workout of the back, so I just went back to the Kenpo X.

When I usually start a workout routine, a few weeks into it, I start to lose interest and start half-assing it. I told myself I wouldn't do it with P90X but it's starting. Maybe because I get too tired from work? I dunno. Like I said in previous posts, I'm a bit discouraged because I haven't been getting the results I want. I haven't even lost notable weight. My FH says that he sees my abs working while I work out and my arms are getting more toned. But I don't see it. I need to do some more research maybe...

Anyways, Kenpo X was fun. I don't know why I've been trying to avoid it.

Weird thing today was, I actually said, "Shut up Tony, You're too funny." OMG. lol

No rest day for me! Straight on to RECOVERY WEEK!!!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-85624832149191964782009-05-29T22:02:00.000-07:002009-05-29T22:37:21.749-07:00Saving for the Wedding... Being the Frugal Bride-to-BeIf me and my FH had the funds, we'd be married already. We would have the date set at least and be married by the end of the year. But that's not the case.

Basically, the economic downfall hit us hard and we are just now getting back on our feet. I guess during that time, we really learned how to buckle down and not splurge on the unnecessary. Trust me, I was really, really bad. I was the one who's paycheck was half gone before the weekend was over. Living paycheck to paycheck sucks.

So we just started saving for the wedding. We try to put 25-30% of our week's paycheck aside and whatever else we can. So far it's working out well. We don't touch our savings unless we both agree its an emergency or it relates to the wedding.

For each month, we set our Wedding Financial goal. For the month of June, we hope to make a down payment for our venue (that means setting the date!!!!).

So, how do I learn how to save money?

Leave the Credit Cards at home. If I can't pay for it by the end of the month, I don't need it.

Use cash. If you are just purchasing something less than 20$ then just pull out the cash. Sometimes when you use your debit card, you tend to forget that you spent the 3$ on lunch or 5$ at starbucks.

Don't buy it unless you have a coupon. Sorry, I learned this from Kate (Jon & Kate plus 8). When the FH and I go out to eat, we use coupons. A lot of local restaurants have awesome deals but by coupon only. Check your local paper or mailers.

Bring a lunch to work. Sometimes we just don't have enough time in the morning, but if you make it before you put away the leftover dinner and stick it in the fridge, its one less thing to do (and more time to snooze!) I like to make bento boxes sometimes.

I have many, many more ideas... I gotta save this for another post. Time for bed :)
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-896779890466505727.post-89605995851255828142009-05-29T21:42:00.000-07:002009-05-29T22:00:56.939-07:00Day 20 of P90X
P90X Lean: Phase 1, Week 3: Legs & Back, AB Ripper X

Today was my day off. Finally got in a full 8 hours (or even more) of sleep. I spent the beginning of my day with my Hubbie-to-be. Rested some more (I think I nap too much), and then he left for work. Which left me time to work out.

I don't know about yah'll but I can't work out if someone is watching me. Me and my FH use to workout together but our schedules are so messed up that it we just ended up doing our own thing. So when the cat's away, it's time for P90X!

Legs & Back went very, very well. I increased the resistance in the bands and used the more heavier ones. Much, much better and I definitely felt the burn.

I guess my overall goal with my legs is to tone them. In addition to my arms, and tummy, I feel my legs are up there with the worst parts of my body. I inherited them so it's my mom's fault. Haha. Remember Britney Spear's prior to her toned body (the first time?) well, those are my legs.

So the calf raises (OUCH!) will help as well with all the lunges. I just hope the size of my butt doesn't decrease because that's one of the things I do like. Haha.

Ab Ripper X... I didn't really feel like Bringing It today so I just did at least 10 of each set but I did do the 40 reps of the Mason Balls (is that what its called? can't remember).

Recovery Week just around the corner! And THEN.. PHASE 2!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
